Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 July 2026

These terms govern your use of BillBook. By creating an account you agree to them. They're written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us on WhatsApp before you rely on it.

The service

BillBook lets businesses create and share invoices, quotes, receipts, credit notes, statements and contracts, track customers, payments and expenses, and prepare VAT summaries. BillBook is currently a pilot — features may be added, changed or removed as it matures, and we'll aim to do that without disrupting your records.

Your account

Keep your login credentials to yourself and give us accurate information. You're responsible for what happens under your account. One account per business under the current plans; agency arrangements are covered by the Agency plan.

Your content stays yours

The documents, customer records and other content you create belong to you. You give us only the permission needed to store and process them so the service can function. You can export everything at any time (Settings → Your data).

Acceptable use

Don't use BillBook for anything unlawful — including issuing false or misleading tax documents, invoicing for goods or services that don't exist, or infringing anyone else's rights. Don't attempt to break, probe or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans and payment

Prices are in Guyana dollars, per month, as shown on the pricing page. Payment is currently manual (MMG, bank transfer, PayPal, Zelle, card link or cash) and your plan is activated once payment is confirmed. Fees for a started billing period aren't refunded, but you can downgrade or stop at any time and keep access for the period you've paid for. Pilot pricing may change with notice — existing subscribers will be told before any change affects them.

Not tax or legal advice

BillBook prepares documents with the fields GRA guidance expects and calculates VAT at the configured rates, but it is a tool — not an accountant, tax adviser or law firm. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you issue and for your own filings. Contract templates are scaffolding to edit, not legal advice; for anything significant, have a lawyer review it.

Availability and liability

We work to keep BillBook fast and available, but it is provided "as is" during the pilot, without warranties of uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Ending things

You can stop using BillBook at any time — export your data first if you want a copy, or message us to have your account deleted. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practical.

Governing law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Guyana. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and flag it in the app. Questions: WhatsApp +592 714 4912.
