BillBook help
Contracts & agreements
A job that's worth doing is worth putting in writing. Contracts gives you numbered, professional agreements your customer can read without a lawyer in the room. Part of the Growth plan and up.
Creating an agreement
Contracts → New. Give it a title, pick the customer, set the effective date, and write the terms. BillBook starts you with a sensible scaffold — scope, payment, timelines, what happens if things go wrong — ending with a Guyana governing-law clause. Every agreement gets its own AGR number, same sequential discipline as your invoices.
Let the AI draft it
Tap Draft with AI, describe the deal in plain language — "monthly landscaping, G$120,000, invoiced on the 1st, either side can end with a month's notice" — and a full draft appears with square brackets around anything you must fill in. You get a set number of drafts each month on Growth and up.
Every AI draft ends with the same reminder we'll give you here: it's a starting point, not legal advice. Read every clause; have a lawyer check anything significant.
The lifecycle
Draft → Sent → Signed (or Void). Print or download a clean PDF with signature blocks for both sides. Once signed, keep it on file in BillBook — the record and the numbering stay with the customer forever.
